Call for Research Papers & Policy Briefs: Resilient Maldives 2045 – Prosperity for All

Announcements

31 Aug 2025

Nexia Maldives, in partnership with the Ministry of Finance and Planning, has launched an open call for research papers and policy briefs to support the formulation of the country’s 20-Year National Development Plan: Resilient Maldives 2045 – Prosperity for All. The call for papers invites researchers, academics, practitioners, policy makers, and community groups and individuals, both Maldivians and internationals to contribute original work that can inform national development priorities. Selected contributions will be presented at Mahasintha – the National Conference, paving way in shaping dialogue and strategy in an inclusive manner.

The call welcomes in-depth research and practical policy recommendations across a wide range of cross-cutting developmental themes, including economic development, social development, environment and climate change, spatial planning, and governance. Submissions are due by 15 October 2025, and will undergo review by the conference editorial committee. Full details, including submission guidelines, eligibility, and thematic areas, are available in the attached Call for Research Papers.
